Weston Athletic Club - Christmas Cracker Results click here Windy, bloody windy that's all I have to say about the Christmas cracker....It was a shame because there was a good chance of getting PB's on Sunday.. never mind will try better@ Bromham this Sunday (another very fast course) Good turn out by KIT@ weston on sunday but would liked to have seen the likes of Rich, Lee etc with their running shoes on. One of these days I'm going to try and keep up with Mr Spedding!!!!! Overall good race My finishing time 39mins 37secs pos 29th winning time 36mins 11secs(gives you an indication of the conditions, winner was hoping to come home in 32mins!!) - James (Will try harder) Hall. I actually made it to an event and enjoyed it. My somewhat dodgy training regime needs seriously looking at !! again . I really enjoyed it I took 50 mins 27 secs. A bit slower than last year but with only 3 short jogs in 3 weeks I wasn't expecting a world record. However, it was windy, always in front of you never behind you! I hope you're feeling better soon with your leg. CU soon. Cheers Ian Gillard
Race Report from Caroline Barter Thoroughly enjoyed the slog. Weather conditions were probably about right for the event, although a touch misty on higher ground. It's almost three years since I did any real multi terrain running and I was a little worried about negotiating various forms of shiggy - bogs, rivers, cow shit etc. But there was no need to worry, I loved it. It was very reminiscent of my days with the Hash House Harriers, just the booze up afterwards was missing. I'll be doing more over the winter months for sure. Well done to everyone else from KIT who competed. And many thanks to the KIT member who helped me to my feet (even though I wasn't wearing a KIT vest - sorry must get one) after I skidded around a tight downhill bend on my bum. Oh yes - I was 449th in a time of 1:42:10. All the best - hope to see you competing soon. Well done to you all!! Everyone commented that the Portway is soul
destroying on the way back, flat and endless.

as 'the eel' he was told he had a load of people wanting to meet up with
him!!!
A
special mention goes to Jane Feetham who completed her first tri today in a
very credible 1:46, however she loved the bike so much she carried on
for a further 3:30 minutes away from the 1/2 way left turn!
and had to come back... Always best to drive the bike route if you have time
prior to the event!! She did have the elastic laces/ with lace locks
on her Dad's trainers! so already ahead of Ian G in transition!
